Since its foundation in 2008 as the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), popularly known as AP IIIT, the institute mentored several thousands of rural students to successfully reach their goals/ dreams in life. The institute has achieved significant growth in fulfilling the objective of providing high quality educational opportunities to the top 1% meritorious students in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The institute has carved a niche for itself among the top technological universities in the country by employing a unique model of offering an integrated engineering program with a very different teaching pedagogy. Our dedicated faculty and staff are engaged in intensive use of Information Technology in teaching and provide support to research and development activities.

Our institute is committed to nurture the talent among students and hence transform them into valuable human resources for building the nation in their chosen areas of interest. The institute is happy to note that our distinguished alumni are contributing to the growth of the society in various aspects. We are also proud that many of our Alumni are holding coveted positions within India and abroad as well. I am happy to inform you all that the institute has made significant growth in improvement in the areas of academic, research and outreach activities. The institute continues to attract the most talented youth from rural areas of Andhra Pradesh and is considered as the most preferred institution for students completing schooling. Research output is increasing gradually with significant growth in technical papers published by our faculty/students in reputed journals. In the recent years contributions in the areas of co-curricular and extracurricular activities are worth mentioning. Your successors here have won laurels in student competitions, games, yoga, music, etc. Many of them represented the institute at state, national and international events as well. The Institute has signed several MoUs with Institutions and Industries of repute both from India and abroad. Our institute is actively engaged in extending service to the community in several societal initiatives through NSS, NCC, Helping Hands, etc.,. It is a matter pride for all of us that RGUKT has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for six years. Many of the actions are instrumental in improving the visibility and reputation of the institute in the academic arena.

I am happy to bring to inform you that I assumed charge as Director, RGUKTN in late November 2023 on deputation from National Institute of Technology, Warangal (an institute of National Importance) with a strong desire to make significant contribution in the growth of this reputed institution. I look forward to your keen participation in growth of this institution by providing support in technical endeavors, placement/ internship opportunities, research promotion/ collaborations and financial as well.

As part of this vision, we have initiated Eternox, a dedicated platform to bring alumni back to campus,rekindle their connection with the institution, and create opportunities for direct interaction with students. More than a reunion, Eternox serves as a space where experiences are shared, ideas are exchanged,and meaningful relationships are built.

A key step forward has been the formation of domain specific alumni communities, where studentscan connect with alumni from relevant fields. These communities enable mentorship, career guidance,and real world exposure, helping students bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations.

Our alumni continue to play a significant role in supporting student growth, whether through guidance,opportunities, or by sharing their experiences. This culture of giving back reflects the deep rooted bondthat connects every RGUKT graduate to this institution.
